Have you been consumed by Spring Fever? Smelling lots of flowers while cruising those public parks? Us, too!
Lots happening in the month of May (and beyond):
On Saturday, May 3rd, GAY NERDS will be screening as part of Canada’s first web festival, The Vancouver Web Festival.
The festival is a weekend-long affair, with a launch, awards, panels, and an awards ceremony. We’ll be part of the block screening at 2:10pm on Saturday. Exciting stuff! It all goes down at:
Imperial Vancouver (formerly District 319)
319 Main Street
Vancouver, BC V6A 2S7
Ticketing and additional information is available at the link.
On Saturday, May 10th, our show will be screening at not one, but TWO festivals in Toronto.
At 1:30pm, GAY NERDS will be screened as part of the LGBT Showcase at the inaugural TO WebFest.
This is another fabulous weekend-long affair, with panels, screenings and an awards ceremony. Very honoured to be a part of this with our fellow web series peeps. It all goes down at:
235 Queens Quay West
Toronto, ON M5J 2G8
At 8:30pm, GAY NERDS will screen as part of the 4th Annual Sudden Impulse Film Festival.
This is our second year at this particular festival, and you can look forward to a fun night of drinking and live entertainment and screenings. It takes place at:
1035 Gerrard St East
Toronto, ON M4M 1Z6
On Sunday, May 11th, our fearless leader JP Larocque will be participating in a panel for TO WebFest, “Creating on a Budget.” It’s at 4pm in the Brigantine Room at the Harbourfront Centre.
And on Sunday, June 1st, we will be screened as part of the Web Series Showcase at the 24th Annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival.
We’ve volunteered at and attended this festival since we were baby gays, so to be included as part of this year’s line-up is a huge honour. Here is JP Larocque alongside fellow filmmakers Pat Mills and Austin Wong at the launch party on April 30th.
The screening is at 3:00pm, and will be the WORLD PREMIERE of our season finale, “The Fellowship of Sarah Michelle Gellar,” followed by a panel with the filmmakers at:
TIFF BELL LIGHTBOX CINEMA 2
350 King Street West
Thanks for the love, folks! Whether you’re watching us on your desktops, laptops, phones or at festivals, we appreciate your support.
